Multiply for Children UNICEF

At Ecix, we maintain our collaboration agreement with UNICEF as a representative of the United Nations Children's Fund.

Through this agreement, Ecix joins the Multiply for Children program, an initiative whose objective is to mobilize resources to support the education of the most vulnerable children in Africa.

AEPD Priority Channel

It's becoming increasingly common to receive messages on our mobile devices with links to videos of sexual orientation, assaults, or sensitive content. In most cases, these messages have been recorded and shared without the permission of the people involved. The most common practice, but equally erroneous and illegal, is to continue the chain of dissemination among contacts in the address book, turning the content into a viral message in a short period of time. This phenomenon is crucial to address, as, due to the social pressure exerted by social media and the informative nature of society, the content quickly goes viral, reaching everyone, including family members and loved ones.

First, it is essential NOT TO FORWARD, thus preventing the rapid spread of the content. Second, the relevant authorities should be contacted to prevent its dissemination, either by informing the platforms where the content appears or by informing public entities responsible for addressing these types of situations.

At Ecix Tech, we are joining the "You Can Stop It Too with the #CanalPrioritario" campaign of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), which aims to eliminate the illegitimate dissemination of particularly sensitive content circulating on the Internet without consent.

Through its channel https://www.aepd.es/canalprioritario/, you can manage the report, with two specific channels: one for minors under 18 years of age and another for people over the age of majority. For minors under 14 years of age, the process must be completed by their mother, father, or legal guardian. For adults, identification is required, either electronically or in paper format using a form. The report must include details about the type of content disseminated, the context in which it occurred, the group to which the victim belongs, profiles that share the material, and the social networks or media on which it is shared. Additionally, graphic documents can be attached to support the report.

Sharing third-party content without their knowledge or consent can lead to various legal liabilities for the disseminator, such as sanctions under personal data protection, criminal, labor, and civil liability. Furthermore, acting ethically and with empathy toward others are fundamental reasons for taking action, as anyone can find themselves in a similar situation.

In collaboration with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), Ecix Tech actively promotes the use of the Priority Channel as an essential tool for addressing the non-consensual dissemination of sensitive content. The AEPD analyzes complaints to verify violations and order the removal of content from the relevant platforms. If offenses are detected, the Agency informs the prosecutor's office, keeping participants informed about every step of the process.

In conclusion, stopping the spread of sensitive content without permission is crucial, and not only is stopping reposting effective, but there are currently ways to address these situations. Remember: "It's not about the video or the photo, it's about everything behind it."

You too can stop it with the Priority Channel.

Sustainable Cybersecurity Pact

ECIX Tech strengthens its commitment to cybersecurity by joining the Sustainable Cybersecurity Pact, a pioneering initiative that seeks to create a more secure and responsible digital environment for Spanish companies.

The Sustainable Cybersecurity Pact arose in response to the growing need to unify efforts in the fight against cyber threats and promote a security culture that transcends the boundaries of each organization. Among its main objectives is the implementation of cybersecurity policies that respect human rights and protect the digital environment, aligning business operations with the principles of sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

In a decisive step toward consolidating a more secure digital environment, ECIX Tech has announced its adherence to the Sustainable Cybersecurity Pact. This agreement, promoted by leading industry entities, focuses on ensuring the responsible and ethical use of digital technologies, with the goal of protecting both companies and their customers in an increasingly complex and challenging environment.

ECIX Tech's adherence to this agreement faithfully reflects the values the company has championed for more than two decades. As a leader in RegTech and LegalTech solutions, ECIX Tech has always maintained its unwavering commitment to legal protection and regulatory compliance, aspects that are now strengthened with this strategic alliance.

Carlos Sáiz, Vice President of ECIX Tech, underlined the importance of this commitment: "Joining the Sustainable Cybersecurity Pact is a natural step for ECIX Tech, as we fully share the vision of a secure and ethical digital environment. Our participation in this initiative reaffirms our mission to offer solutions that not only protect businesses but also promote responsible use of technology."

ECIX Tech joins this pact with the aim of protecting not only data, but also the environment and society. Born from collaboration and knowledge sharing, it seeks to guide companies toward cyber-secure and sustainable operations. This pact is based on eight specific pillars of action:

Governance, promoting responsible leadership in social, environmental and economic aspects.

Transparency, being clear and accessible to policies and practices in the field of cybersecurity.

Energy efficiency, implementing measures to reduce energy consumption in the systems and equipment used within the company to become carbon neutral by 2030.

Circular economy, incorporating the circular vision of resource use and waste generation.

Responsible management of electronic waste, adopting responsible practices to manage electronic waste generated by the service and products, thus promoting recycling.

Collaboration and dissemination, participating in research and best practices with other companies and working groups.

Sustainable standards, thus creating a safe and sustainable environment in the digital world.

Supply chain collaboration, evaluating and selecting suppliers committed to sustainability.

With this support, ECIX Tech not only reaffirms its role as a leader in the technology sector, but also invites other companies to join this vital cause, essential for protecting our business community and the future of the digital economy in Spain.
