A national financial supervisor<\/b> needed to know precisely their degree of compliance with DORA<\/b>.\n\n

\nThe agency was to:\n\n

    \n
  • Assessing the corporate DORA compliance status, together with other main application frameworks for financial environment<\/b> throughout the organisation.<\/li>\n
  • Identify non-compliances, shortcomings and overlaps<\/b> in its security policies, procedures and controls.<\/li>\n
  • Prioritise adequacy measures with a risk vision<\/b>distinguishing non-compliance with the greatest potential impact.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\nThe main challenge was the volume and dispersion of information<\/b>:\nhundreds of internal documents (internal regulations, procedures, security policies, incident management, business continuity, supplier relations, etc.) drawn up over the years by different areas.\n

    \n\nA purely manual approach would have been assumed:\n

    • Months of intensive work by legal, security and compliance teams.<\/li>\n
    • Risk of inconsistencies<\/b> in the evaluation criteria.<\/li>\n

        • \n Construction of a evaluation matrix<\/b> which related each obligation to expected evidence in policies, procedures and internal controls.\n <\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <\/li>\n\n
        • \n Mass documentation analysis with MIA Enterprise<\/b>\n
            \n
          • \n Use of the algorithms of MINE<\/b> to analyse hundreds of internal documents<\/b>identifying relevant references to security governance, incident management, continuity, supplier management and other application domains.\n <\/li>\n
          • \n Automatic classification of the contents according to the requirements of the standard and detection of gaps, inconsistencies or lack of evidence<\/b>.\n <\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <\/li>\n\n
          • \n Gap assessment and risk-based prioritisation<\/b>\n
              \n
            • \n Development of a structured compliance assessment<\/b>indicating for each DORA requirement the level of adequacy achieved.\n <\/li>\n
            • \n Identification of non-compliance and deviations<\/b> with a vision of risks: highlighting those with highest potential impact<\/b> on the continuity of essential services or exposure to supervisors.\n <\/li>\n

              • To have a gap report DORA prioritised by risk<\/b>which became the basis for the design of its adequacy and security investment plan.<\/li>\n
